The New England Region Meeting took place on August 21st, 2010.  Hosted by the president of the AFA Blue and Gold Chapter at the Naval War College in Newport Rhode Island, Colonel Steven Charbonneau, the event set the bar for future gatherings.

    The event consisted of brief chapter updates and compelling discussions about the future of the AFA, airpower, and the burgeoning role of cyberspace, followed by a catered lunch.  The afternoon included a boat trip in the Newport harbor, captained by B.Gen.(ret) Waller and narrated by Mr. Tripp Alyn, followed by an elegant buffet dinner in the evening at the Officers Club.

Notable attendees included Lt. Col. Shawn Smith (Commander, Sixth Space Warning Squadron), Retired General Ronald Keys (former Commander of Air Combat Command, and candidate for the AFA Chairman of the Board), Retired Brigadier General James Dishner, Retired Brigadier General Joseph Waller, Mr. Bruce Hevey (Former SES), Mr. John Hasson (New England Region President), Mr. Paul Neslusan (Massachusetts State President, Major, USAFR), Mr. Bob Wilkinson (Rhode Island State President), and Mr. William Forthofer (Connecticut State President).
